Common problems

Choose what's happening to see the fix.

It plays FM radio, not the QurānThe radio is in radio mode.
  1. Make sure the Hasanat SD card is inserted.
  2. Press MODE on the right side of the radio. It switches between radio mode and SD card mode.
  3. In SD card mode, the Qurān plays.

Doesn't switch? Take the SD card out, put it back in, then press MODE again.

Did this fix it?

I can't switch between recitersEach reciter has his own folder.

If you only see a list of surahs, you're inside one reciter's folder.

  1. Go back from the file list to the list of reciter folders.
  2. Open the folder of the reciter you want.
  3. To switch collection, for example from Main Reciters to Gems, go back once more and open the other collection.

Looking for a reciter? The card has six collections, such as Main Reciters, Gems and Viral Recitations, and not every reciter is in every collection. Main Reciters holds each reciter's Mushaf in surah order, from Al-Fātiḥah to An-Nās (a few are partial). Each collection numbers its reciters in its own order, and the Hasanat Library shows every reciter's number.

Did this fix it?

It won't charge, or the battery shows emptyAlmost always the charger, not the radio.

The radio needs a basic 5V 1A charger. An older or simple USB phone charger works best.

  • Basic 5V 1A USB charger
  • Older or simple phone charger

Won't charge it

  • Fast chargers: PD, Fast Charge, Quick Charge, SuperCharge
  • Laptop and iPad chargers
  • Any charger marked 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V

Also check: take the battery out and put it back in so it sits firmly, and look for bent or dirty contact pins inside.

Did this fix it?

A surah repeats, or skips to the next oneChange the playback mode.
  1. Press MENU to switch between playback modes, for example repeating one file or playing all files in order.
  2. Check the display. It shows which mode is active.
